Matt emailed me on May 15th about officiating his and Shy's wedding on Memorial Day. They live in Goldsboro and wanted to get married either at the beach or at a quiet secluded wooded area. Since I do not travel as far as the coast for weddings, my wedding garden fit their vision of quiet, secluded and wooded so we quickly made all the arrangements and got started on their sweet ceremony.
After officiating 5 large weddings over the Memorial Day weekend, I welcomed Matt and Shy's small private wedding. Matt's parents and Shy's sister attended as well as their adorable daughter, Shelby.
We included the family unity sand ceremony. They brought their containers and the sand and chose to put in a layer of stones and shells to add variety to the layers of sand.
Shelby enjoyed pouring in her sand and adding some stones and shells. She is so bright and curious and full of questions!
They made their vows to each other then exchanged rings. The pronouncement of marriage was next followed by the kiss!
We missed getting a photo of the kiss but we got the hug!
Here is the very happy family! Shy, Matt, and Shelby, blessings and congratulations! I wish you the best of everything that comes your way!
